leafs

I have them on at the moment. Reason i bought them was the price. I find that the fronts work extremely well and are quite soft so provide good flex. The rears i found were very rigid, however i did get the h/duty springs. once im loaded with camping gear they ride really well. Did not have a ...

U-bolts

I have found that most aftermarket u-bolts are longer in length than the standard u-bolts the vehicle came with. I have used Ironman and Maxi-trac and both have been a fair bit longer than standard U-bolts. I also had castor wedges in, no problems.

Yeah same for me, a 3/8 drive. Make sure you use a good quality one though, they seem to be more square. I used a cheapy and nearly stripped it and made the square hole round

Diff Difference?

Quick Question: How do you tell the difference between a NT diff (3.9) and a WT Diff (3.7)?

Cheers

Thanks all for your input, at this stage i am thinking of going the 5.14's, I reckon they should go pretty well.

Has anyone used the Calmini 5.14's?

Reduction Gears

I will throw it out there for some input. I am definately getting reduction gears, however I cannot decide between the Calmini 5.14:1 and the Trail Tough 4.9's. I currently run 30's, but have a set of 32's to go on whenever i can make them fit. I have the standard wt 3.7 diff centres. I want better ...

I am planning to do the same thing. Fortunately i have a lwb and am planning to sheet metal/Checkplate the bottom half level with side panel, add a roll bar and then tonneau cover and turn it into sort of an extra cab soft top ute. I am thinking this because i also had concerns about how far back ...

I agree, i had a custom bar made up for my WT. The bar was made off a NT chassis and would not fit on because of the leaf spring mounts. Simple angle grinder work and the bar is attached by three mounts on either chassis rail instead of four now.

Cheers :)
