Re: Heard of any 3L Patrol utes Blowing ?

Is the 3l in the utes the same as the one in the wagons? I'm presuming that since they didn't come with them until they stopped the 4.2 that these are from after Nissan did whatever it did to fix the issues with the zd30

I need to do something similar to my pathy, what sort of relay would be used for this application. It seems old pathy's had the power running through the arm on the steering wheel, and it tends to short out a lot, up to my third arm :x Is there a 'standard' relay to be used, or can i just visit the ...

Oops i forgot to say mine is a factory turbo'd one. Yeah i didn't think all the mucking around with it would be worth the effort, might have a look at second hand engines, and rebuild this one when i can afford it (it sucks when :bad-words: happens all at once). As i said with the kits, some come ...

Somehow managed to get enough water into the intake to stop it dead although the water I was in was less than a foot deep, it barely made it up to my hubs, I'm guessing I was just unlucky  Had my mechanic look at it and see how bad it is, it no worky ...

Fitting TJM winch to Stock Patrol winch bar

Hi all, Just looking for some info on fitting an OX 12k lb winch to the stock nissan patrol winch bar, its a GU 2002 model. Do the stock nissan bars need a winch cradle/frame as per the TJM bars, or is it ok to fit the winch directly to the bar? Having done a bit of research on it, the Warn XD9000 ...

Hmm but with the small tyre, wouldn't that up the revs needed to sit on 100km/h and therefore increase the fuel consumption of the vehicle?

Tyre choice for Efficiency

Hi All,

I have a 2002 GU ute, 4.2 turbo diesel.
Currenlty i am running with 33" mud tires and am travelling approx 130km a day,With tht 33's the engine is usually sitting around 2200 rpm

My question is, would a set of 33" road tyres or 35" road tyres be more efficient.

i looked at doing this myself to a 90 pathy, but ended up getting a patrol.

If your looking for a diff housing, you could look up vsickspathy, he did a sas on his using a mk/mq front housing, apparently it has the same WMS-WMS as the pathy rear.

How does that +50 rule work, from what i've read of the NCOP i've come to the conlcusion that you could probably have any size tyre as long as the body of the vehicle is not raised by more than 150mm over standard.

Did anyone else come to that conclusion or did i read something wrong

I have the Wd21 pathfinder, i have fitted 31" tyres to mine using toyota rims.

They clear the guards just fine, the only close bit is towards the rear of the wheel arch when turning.

general rule of thumb for these vehicles is 3" sus + 3" body = 33" tyres

I'd say for him to talk to his accountant.

From what i recall R+D expenses can be claimed against your tax at a rate of 125% IIRC, so any costs incurred in R+D are a write off against his taxable income.

So coming from that point of view, free upgrades
