Hi I have aquired some Fg falcon seats and they look like they will fit with the modification similar toe the prelude seat write up.
Question is will i need to use the attached seatbelt socket or just use the standard hilux ones?

Re: 3L starting issue
It could be starter i had one that drew too much current(so i was told) that it would flatten batery to quick and was sluggish to start.
also when we did an engine swap we missed the earth to motor and it would only turn over very slowly. so maybe check and clean all earths

Re: Hilux/ 4 runner brake problem, help
I can't help with the problem but was wondering what the difference was with using 4runner rear drums on a hilux? I have a ln106 dual cab and a 4runner chassis with complete rear end sitting in the yard and was wondering if it was worth the swap.

Looking at doing similar with integra or prelude(whichever i find) and wondering if you could use a steel block and longer hi tensile bolts instead of grinding the mounts etc.

Re: Hilux wiring plug thingy, help needed
I'm no expert but try a very small thin blade flat screwdriver (jewelers type)in the plug as they have a little lug inside which holds them in. If any of that makes sense or try auto parts store for a new plug.

Check if your earth is connected from battery to alternator as when we did an engine swap forgot that lead and did very similar except smoke came out the regulator box.

Re: Timing Belt Light
So what's the deal with the timing belt light? When does it light up? Is it a multiple of Km's travelled, or something more clever? Having just bought this thing with ~280,000 km on it, I'm sorta thinking I should do the belt "just in case"... ( mine is a '91 LN106R which has the light come on with ...

I think he means he's putting on a liner and turbo.
Unless its rediculously higher at the rear i wouldn't worry about leveling it out because as soon as you get a load in the tray it will bring it down.

Re: Ebay engine rebuild kit for a 3l 2.8d hilux (now with pi
Had a friend have a look and first thing he spotted was a missing bolt from the inlet manifold ( how blind am I ) and this combined with a bit of blowby is creating the leak. He suggests to either rebuild or just do a gasket kit. So it looks like I will be getting to know the 3l internals very ...
