Im pretty sure you will have to get custom engine mounts, no modification needed to the firewall, mine fits in with about 30mm gap from rocker cover, you will have to make some type of gearbox/ fly wheel cover, cos standard one fits turbo700, and will not fit against your 4 speed. you will have to ...

I would like to put an rb30 into my mates nissan gq, was wondering if the gearbox off a 2.8diesel bolts straight onto the rb30 with no modifications.

or can i change the bell housing to suit the rb30 to bolt onto the 4.2 petrol gearbox?
