if your running the standard points setup (I had the bushes/bearings and weights done) dont even bother mucking around with them, go after market dual point or electronic, worth every Dollar!!!! those look the goods.....my problem is how the hell do they mount them without welding them on, ARB said they can bolt theirs on but their is no way you can have a plate high enough to put a bolt over the chassis without rattling on the floor when wheeling, so i'm looking at a different method..

remove the sway bars, you will get just about max travel from your springs without starting the long process of MODS, the front of the MQ/MK suffer from a shitty shock absorber mounting position design, if you know some one HANDY with the tools they can re-position top mounts to accomedate longer ...

I just got my genuine nissan 4.375 centers shipped up from a Sydney parts peddler, cost $1000 exchange were hard to find..., TD42 not struggling as much with the 35's on hills now. Cost aroud $2200 to fit them at Out A Town, with a front air locker of coarse :twisted:

I say "If you like em try em", tyre arguments are the easiest to start on any forum or gathering, Thats becuase every one is an expert!!!! There are so many good tyre brands and tread designs out there, it is darn confusing...I stuck with my BFG'S cause they work for me, find one that works for you ...

No , I just marked both sides of the joint (where the splines are) and tried to evenly adjust both ends till the dowel stops were back to there original position ...

Also apart from the different chassis width the actual mq bar from flat section to the top of the tubes is about two inches higher so you will have the middle tube braces right in the middle of your headlights???

Mines got 6" lift and the standard gear bolt straight on with the original brackets, but as soon as I hit the trails you can hear the swaybar rubbing the front drive shaft, so it no longer has a home on my truck!!! ....you soon get use to the oversteering.....and adjusting the T/D's up a notch...

Mate save your bucks for now and get the springs and shackles happening first. The setup your after will require the top front shock mounts to be removed and raised because they are a limiting factor in even a standard MK!! Then if you know someone with a forklift you can use, lift a front an back ...

Flip rear shaft back to front .......
Front crossmember, I marked the area with a marker, then cut it out and welded a peice of heavy wall pipe in there, engineer loved it...

Sorry I can't help you on that one Surf, I am going through the process of elimination with Lockers for the front of my GQ, and most people I have spoken to have had bugger all problems with the ARB air lockers when installed correctly, I was looking at the new TJM pro locker but they are a no go ...
