driving last night on the freeway, heard a little enging knock then the temp spiked bad,
i limped it home
cracked the radiator cap and it was absolutly bone dry, checked the oil, no water there so ...

as an ex-employee of a nissan dealer i can tell you from my experiance ive never seen nissan pay for labour,
there standard line is usually 50-50 on parts and labour which is usually about $7-8k but if you kick and ...

i used to work for nissan
and i say the flares from a series 4 probably wont fit the front gaurds as it is a different shaped gaurd, the rear 1/4's will fit as it is the same part for all the models just with differnt size holes for the tail light

your better off gettin the series 1 2 or 3 ones ...

sounds to me like the belt tensioner is f&*@
extremely common on zd30s

my did the same thing the choke would get stuck and it would die in the arse,
i got my carby rebuilt and he ripped out everything he deemed "not needed" now it runs a like dream (bit hard to start on cold mornings though)

the weekend was good and pretty well run,
there was a fair bit of carnage as already stated on the first stage friday night clive smashed his auto which was nothing more than really bad luck,

al mac was having winch troubles on saturday and did some quick stages on sunday,

Bruce i believe they were being made at a place in heidleberg called TDK Engineering but are no longer in business or from what i have heard

my old boss had them on his and didnt think they stopped better than the standard GU brakes, so he called them up and they said he needed to get the 'better ...

yeah blackburn 4x4 has them i dont know who else has though

I think i remember seeing on patrol4x4.com someone had the programing sequence for the keys so saves you a tow truck bill Correct - for the remotes, but not the keys. :(

DONT GET THE KEY PRE CUT FROM NISSAN
get the key code from dealer which they can do from service not parts
and buy a blank key and get it cut yourself i think the part number is h0564-vk100
cause they never cut it correctly

i uses to work at a nissan dealership and i will only ever use genuine
theres muiltple setups for td42's
GQ's use 2 X15208-w1120au (which is good cause i know someone that sells in boxes of 24 for a really good price )
really late GQ's and GU's (n/a & TI) use 2 x 15208-43g00au's
and GU's ...

nissan oil filter part number is 15209-2w200au and about $20

the engine oil part number is b3005-10w40pk and about $40 for 5 litres

fuel filter part num is 16403-59e00au and from memory about $35 to $40

air filter part num is 16546-vc10a and cant remember how much they were

there is only one right near the knuckle but the nissan parts catalouge shows it towards the diff for some reason so a parts guy thats not familiar with patrols gets confused easily part number should be 40533-01j00 or something similar

bogged the only difference i can see is that the zd30 one has a flange to mount the MAF sensor while the td42turbo one dosent


why dont you try a tb45/tb48 one they fit well but because of the way they sit you may have to pull the battery out to change air filters
