I ran 235/85/16 A/Ts on my 89 swb. The only prob i had was rubbing on the rear wheel arch at full articulation. This stopped when i did a 2" lift. The real problem is lack of power from the 2.6 trying to turn a tyre that is closer to a 32" than a 31". Time to look for some 5.29 diffs Regards Pierce

Just my 2cents worth but after 7105 klm to cape york and back last month on 285/75/16 MTRs I'm sold. Great grip on and off road. Great wear pattens so far on a mates 105 cruiser (heavy arsed thing) with 24,000 klm so far.
