Take any 'must-keep' bits off the thing, sell it for ~$12k (More or less but we haven't seen it), spend another 8k or so and get another 80, but this time a 1HD-T Sahara or even a Multivalve (1HD-FT). I bought a multi for under 17k, 260,000km, hydraulic winch, diff locks etc. etc. only a few months ...

No, I'm not kidding! The reason I suggested a Magna dash is, I think they look heaps better, they are a lot more reliable in their controls and gauges, the plastics are better, it would be just as cheap to buy and finally, they were built the same way VN Commodore dashes were - on a separate ...

The only probem I can see is you have to loose the window winders, but elec windows will fix that. Why ...

I agree, after seeing millitary TFA fire trucks which are fitted with industrial strength electronic rust prevention systems, they just don't seem to work. These trucks rust badly, though I cannot compare one without the RPS as they all have them. They have steel frames with alloy panels.

Yea, just checked it and it's about 1mm from the metal stop on the cable to the threaded end of the sleeve. I might have a play and tighten it up a bit and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the help.

Adjusting 4HP22 shift pattern

Does anyone know if it's possible to adjust the shift pattern on the 4HP22 trans in early RR Classics and Disco's? Mine changes gears too early for my liking, it's in 3rd before crossing the lights. If I give it more than half throttle it still only holds first until about 15km/h. Kickdown seems to ...

The P76 block is wider - so spacers will be required Slight correction - The P76 has a taller deck height (from the 3.5" stroke), so you will need spacers to fit the Rover intake manifold. Personally, I don't think it's worth it. 1) You are fitting second-hand Rover heads which are the same as the ...

My vote is to run a 2-barrel Throttle body from EA falcon or GM TBI adapted to the standard 2-barrel P76 manifold with Megasquirt. Or run LPG. Pretty sure the gov rebate for a used car is $2k in all states except WA, where it is $3k!

Adapter plates should be fairly common as the P76 had the same 2 barrel Stromberg carb as a 253.
