Soft Top Brackets

I tried to put my soft top on yesterday for the first time and have realised that Jeep have left out the soft top pivot brackets, the brackets that connect the soft top to the rollbar. Would someone be able to post a photo of these so I can see what they look like and compare it with what the dealer ...

On top of the fuel filter there is a small o ring that goes over the part that actually screws into the filter. In the Gregory's manual a picture on page 80 shows an exploded view of the filter set up. The seal is between the sealing ring and the filter head. I know of this problem because one of ...

Diesel Pump

I've got a 4.2 diesel GQ with a bit over 260, 000km's on the clock. It's blowing a lot of smoke and is slightly down on power. The injectors have just been replaced and the car has new oil and oil, fuel and air filters. I am looking at getting the diesel pump overhauled and am wondering what they ...

Smoking Diesel

I have a 92 model GQ 4.2 diesel without a turbo. Overtime it has slowly being getting worse and worse with the amount of smoke coming out of the exhaust. It is a blackish/greyish coloured smoke and was thinking perhaps injectors or diesel pump could need an overhaul. The car is just short of 260 ...

Was that a custom made radiator or is it available pretty much anywhere?
The previous owner of the car fitted a set of Lukey extractors and a Lukey 3" exhaust system so I guess i'm lucky there. Do you reckon it was worth it.

Aftermarket Turbo

After christmas I will be getting a turbo fitted to my 92 model 4.2 diesel GQ LWB. At this stage it will be done by MTQ in Newcastle because no one seems to complain about them and they are close to home. The car has about 252,000km's. My questions are: Should I get the injectors and fuel pump done ...

Geez now all of these ideas are in my head I might go bigger. I didn't really consider a 35" tyre because I thought a 4" lift wouldn't be enough. But I need a new set of flares so some flare rubber, a grinder and 35's might be the way to go. Thanks for the input peoples.

Would both the front and rear guards needs to be cut? Because at the moment there is a fair bit of clearance at the front but not much at the back when the car is all crossed up.

I've got a GQ Patrol and am getting to the stage where I want a second set of tyres just for off road. I want peoples opinion on whether I should go with a set of 33" Simex Jungle Trekkers or a set of 32" Simex Centipedes. Advice on for and against of these tyres would be appreciated. I am making a set of side steps, out of 3" steel pipe, for a LWB GQ, with a 3" suspension lift and no body lift, and was looking at different designs for mounting them to the chassis, either bolt on or weld on. What I want to know is how have other people done theirs. Photos, descriptions or ...

The steering damper is fitted. It was actually pretty easy to fit, not as hard as a few people had told me. The wobbles the car used to get at about 80 kays an hour have gone but I think this might have more to do with the bushes that were put in. I also put a 3 inch lift in and castor correction ...
