Re: DIY Rear Drawers
G'Day mate, I hope you are notified of this reply to your post. I have a few questions I am hoping you will be able to answer. First of all, how are the drawers, runners and bearings holding up now that they are getting on a bit? How did you attach the metal runners to the drawer? If it was just ...

Innox info
In the info / instructions or on the box it says that innox will double your battery warranty if you add the required amount to a new battery when you buy it. I have it in my battery and a mate said it kept a battery alive after it seemed to be on the way out.

When you say starting, do you mean while the starter motor is turning or immediately after the engine has fired up? Hey mate, After the starter motor has finished and the car is running for the first minute or so. After the first minute or so it goes to where it should be and the dash is as bright ...

GQ Voltmeter & dash lights on start up
G'day all, I have a 90 model GQ diesel Patrol and when I start the car the voltmeter goes from low then jumps to a normal level and then repeats this for a little while until it stops after a little bit of time. The dash lights also dim and brighten with the voltmeter going form high to low. There ...

Maybe a stupid Q, but did you check the vacuum at the pump or further up the line? Hoses do break and crack. That's ok mate, I have checked directly at the vacuum pump. Before I pulled it apart if you held your finger over the vaccum port it would suck a bit when the car was first started if you ...

TD42 - Vacuum Pump problem
G'day all, My vacuum pump is not sucking at all. I have removed it, pulled it apart and cleaned all internal parts and have reinstalled it. When pulled apart nothing looked damaged and the vanes are to the specified size and so is the inner diameter of the pump housing. The spline is in good ...

Thanks to all those who responded to my problem. The vacuum pump does not seem to be working properly. It seems to suck when the car first starts and you can feel it if you hold your finger over the suction pipe but when you take your finger off and put it back on it does not suck at all. I have ...

Hard Brake Pedal - GQ Diesel
I have a 90 model GQ diesel and the brake pedal is hard and does not seem to depress. It is the same hardness when the car is off or on, e.g it does not depress with your foot on it when you start the car as it should. I am thinking it is the brake booster playing up in some way. Any ideas from ...

Patrol interior space.
Where would you put your other gear? You don't want too much on the roof rack and everytime you stop for the night you would have to unpack everything in order to lay down.
What about a cheap camper trailer? It will probably cost you that much extra to go to a troppy anyway.

Mate just be aware that by going to a smaller steering wheel, that you can void your insurance and make your vehicle unroadworthy or registerable in some states as going to a smaller wheel by more than an allowable amount does not keep inline with some states Department of Transport limits. I think ...

G'Day mate, I have a GQ Patrol and it kept starting to overheat when low range 4x4ing. I found out it was the fan clutch by running the engine as per normal driving and waiting until the heat built up and then turned the engine off and turned the fan and it was fairly loose while hot. To fix it I ...

Hi Benhl, My hubs get hot whether in the lock or free wheel position although I believe that they heat up faster in the free wheel position. The reason I believe is that there might be less friction in the locked position as the entire stub axleis turning with the wheel. Simcoe, I don't believe that ...
