Thanks for all the replies guys. There are some river crossing in the vic high country which get reasonably deep especially in winter, so i wouldnt mind being able to wade through something at headlight height at leasr, but at the moment i could throw half a bucket of water across the engine and she ...

Just wondering if anyone has come up with a way to waterproof the 4.5 1FZ-FE. Im getting sick of the the engine only running on a couple of cyliders every time it looks at water, even if you give it a quick spray with a hose. ive tried sealing the distributor cap with silastic, and the little hole ...

I haven't checked it yet, i think i was just assuming that they would be ok, since both were replaced not that long ago.

I will check it though. Whats the best way to check if the are faulty, and why would that make the engine overheat so quickly?
