Re: Extractors for 96 coily

Thanks ZZ96. I will try Suzispares. The other mentioned decided not to come back to me with a shipping price which I though was a fair ask so will try elsewhere.

Re: Extractors for 96 coily

Thanks ZZ96. I checked on the Hurricane (HU931ST) and it comes in at about $260 unfitted. I also checked with Suzisport in QLD and they say they have a set for $225 but no details on manufacturer. Can anyone give me a run down on Suzisport and their prices/reliability? By the way, I have the engine ...

Extractors for 96 coily

All Don't know what happened to my last post but can't seem to find anything. I have to replace the original exhaust manifold with extractors but just starting to realise that the exhaust shops are about to make a fortune. Can anyone make a recommendation on a good but not too expensive set of ...

Hmm. Ever had that feeling that just when you think you have an answer someone puts in the DOH! factor. Food for thought and thanks for your input Jas. I still have to check the timing but this fuel economy problem has appeared over a number of months so it has been hard to track down to one issue ...

Thanks Guys Have replaced the dizzy cap, rotor button, plugs, air filter and leads. I guess while you are driving something of the size, shape and weight of the zook with a 1.3 motor then there will always be issues with fuel economy and Canberra is not really very flat. I have a new fuel filter ...

Would be interested to hear how the fuel economy/power changes with the injection. Did it take musc work to do the conversion?

Thanks Grimbo! I guess if I add the 50% extra for having to live in Canberra (they all reckon it costs that much more in shipping) I will hope for the low hundreds. I am gunna steer clear of the ethanol blend as there is really a marked difference in perfomance. I took the beast (no not the Missus ...

Sounds sensible to keep it stock for now. Now here is a real gumby question for you - any guess as to how much I can expect to pay for soemone to put a carby overhaul kit in?

Thanks Boner. I wonder if my mate would miss the carby from his bike. The biggest issue I have here is finding a carb place locally with the knowledge to work these things out. I had a look at the thread Grimbo sent and can see myself having to look a little deeper into the workings of the carby ...

Being a newby to the site it sometimes makes it hard to find your way around. Thanks to those who took the time to send a respectable reply. I have changed to an ethanol blend but have found that the economy has dropped. I filled it up with the better stuff the other day and it seems to be up a bit ...

Carby info

Zooksters I know this question has possibly been asked 100's times but I have a 96 coily with a carby that is starting to play up. I have gone from about 10l per 100 to about 11.5 per 100. I note that a lot of owners seen to go to the Weber 32/36 carby with lots of mods. My question is "should I ...

Sticky switch?

Hi all, I have a 96 coily with a small problem. The 4WD light flickers on and off when in 2 WD and I was wondering if it is a sticky switch and if so is there an easy fix?
