go the 4.8. U dont have to go the auto as mentioned before. there are manual availible. running the auto/lock on my gu and so far have been fine runnin them on lock. on auto i have experienced them not diengaging properly even thou the 4b symbol on the dash goes. all i do is put into 2 wheel reverse up till i hear both click and it a good sign there out... i haven't been gentle either ...

G'day all. i am lookin at gettin a gu 4.8 and want to fit 36s to it. Now i have heard alot of different stories on what suspension to fit to fit 36s. i've heard u can do it with 3 inch and i have been told you need 5 inch minimum.
Can anyone shed some more light on this topic. cheers

gday folks i am thinkin of buyin a 100 series or a 105 series what ever they r.
I am only lookin into the solid axle models and diesel.

yeah if you want flex in the rear don't get parabolics... I have the ones you spoke of, APM. They were under the car when i bought it, and even with longer shocks and stuff they get to a point and don't stretch any further. I switched the fronts asap with a custom rear pack, flexes and rides better ...
