Shorty's are slightly more prone to fall over but you would need to be driving some insanely steep stuff and still need to pick a really bad line or across the face of a crest to get it to fall over. I know of quite a few highly abused shorty's that are twin locked and boosted and still stay upright ...

I've just picked up a fairly stock FJ70 shorty with a knacked 3F. I had planned on transplanting a holden 5L but probably with a stroker bottom end and torker cam. Another option I've looked at is a chev Gen 3 or 4 (5.7 or 6.0L ).
