Cutting Guards

hi
i am looking into trimming my guards so i can fit in some larger diameter tyres
i have read about trimming them but i am unsure of how to
how do i cut them
my car has lips on the guard and if i trim the guard how does the guard then attach to the inner guard
any help would be great

i am still very much interested in going down the soa route
you say that you need to go 1 inch out for every inch you go up
how exactly is this possible?
i realise by fitting larger tyres but i am already running 33x12.5x15 mud terrain tyres
so if i achieve around 4-6 inches of lift how do i ...

ok have now decided that spring over is the way to go
i decided this because of the extra flex i could get from the spring over
now i just need to find someone good enough to be up to the job of the conversion
any ideas

settle down boys settle down. the reason i want to get a SOA is because i wanted to get a decent amount of lift but not too high?
i read on the other thread that SOA is better than reset leaves so i thought i would go SOA instead. i want a decent lift beacuse i wanna run some 33's without rubbing ...

wouldnt trust myself welding it all up and id be scared to drive it around
$2500 eh. Thats not too bad .by drive in drive out do you mean new springs new shockers new bushes and perches , rotated diff, ?

i live in Victoria

i consider cheap under $2000 and easy as regarding to the complicity of the modification
easy as in not too many other modifictions involved when undertaking a spring over

my question is: are spring over axle conversions relatively easy and cheap to perform?
i dont know much at all about suspension etc so i would enlist the help of a professional suspension shop ...
