mine is registed in qld with long arms.. but only till it gets put over the pits. not approved. no chance in getting it done. got away with it on 35's for 12 months.. but now its past it.

I am in brisbane and want to buy some DOM tube 1.5" and 1.75".. were do you guys get it? local or interstate..
any idea on pricing.. i could need abit. need to do a few cages and some shock hoops etc.

the j bits one will suit a stock throttle body.. the only problem i can see is its green? :lol: is it? if you have it why not put it on. most of us have one.. even know we all dont know if it makes any differance... :roll:

i have had a few 9 inch axles cut down.. in my case 4 inchs was the min you could cut off as you have to cut back to where all the new meat is. also done a few housings..jigs are the key

whats the difference between pipe and tube

pipe is measured by inside dia.. and is made to carry water and gas :D

DOM tube id measured by ouside dia.. and is made to be used in automotive fabrication

the question should be... are you a plumber? ;)

anyway worth a go with your new bender,, post ...

If you serious look at a JD bender and tube. Once you've played with "cheep" benders, wasted a few lengths of pipe and made your pride and joy look like a 30 yr old farm ute, you will think it was the best thing you bought (other than a cruiser).

i made this tube bender with the plans off www.gottrikes.com, it takes a time to make but i think it's worth it, steel was about $150, i got the air/hydraulic ram from harbor freight $198 inc postage. dies from pro tool usa 1'1/2 inch and 1'3/4 x 240 degree (so you can bend 180 degree) $1000 inc ...

Had to be something wrong there, the auto in my XJ is just fine in those situations and will crawl along much easier than a manual, I managed to snap an axle with it so it certainly will push the power to the wheels with no problems.

I was keen to get a auto tj, as my v8 cj was a auto and loved it! but a few people we go wheeling with have tj 4speed auto,s and I must say I was shocked how they proformed off road.
