it wouldnt be just cheaper to do the live axel conversion? those kits are 1900 american dollars. i saw on ebay not too long ago a 4runner live axel chassis with diffs and rolling but no motor and gearbox for 400 bucks, but was in vic and im on the gold coast.

The only complete bolt straight on kit is aftermarket for a series 1 2L. Safari Turbo or AXT turbo are the only places that make a turbo kit for a series 1 2L that I know of. Most say 2L/3L but thats series 2. Cheers Dan mine runs a mike vine kit using a turbo dynamics manifold can u buy the ...

If its a series 1 2L motor you have to modify the exhaust manifold. There is bolt holes there for studs but is not flat to the manifold as in they are recessed and drilling into the head is a no-no. I made some tabs up and welded them to the cast iron manifold. Is straight and flat and havnt had ...

I am running a ct20 on my 3L 2.8. I'm guessing the 3l head is different to the 2l so I'm not sure if this applies to you....I had to use a exhaust manifold off a 2LT-E which bolts up and everything lines up as it should. I payed $300ish from memory for a brand spanking manifold. oh yeah sweet. im ...

That doesn't sound right to me, although I have not physcally done it my self, the exhaust side should bolt up you just need to unscrew 2 studs and put them in existing holes in the head to match up with the turbo manifold. Will probably need to clean the gunk off/out of the 2 unused holes. If this ...
