Yeah i recon !
Down south is swarming with 4x4 engineering shops.
I have already done my suspension with L & S but im looking at something a bit more extreme.
Do ARB or TJM have a decent workshop ?

Thanks. To anyone who has done the conversion, or been in both the leaf and coil rear utes is there much difference in comfort ? I have been in heaps of wagons and they are like being in a Limousine, compared to the ride in my ute. Is it worth farting around with a heavier tray and custom leaf packs ...

Im looking at crossing back to the dark side ...... again, and looking at buying a well kitted out, solid axle 2.8 hopefully with a snail on the side. QUESTIONS. What is there weak points ? Reputable Custom Leaf Spring Manufacturer.
Hey all. After taking the steel tray off my ute and replacing it with a shortened ally one, the ride is rough as guts. Im running a heavy duty 2 to 3 inch lifted pack with superior extended shackles and i need a light, soft and flexy pack instead. I dont want to take out leaves and play with the ...

I am in the position of getting a fairly good nick 45 series ute for cheap and I was wondering if there are any gurus on these out there to give us a hand with a few questions. 1. looks like gas is the way to go for the future. Up here in NT we have the most expensive fuels of all kind in Australia, couple that with having to drive a fark load to get any where and it gets a bloke thinking on how to save a few $'s on juice. You blokes running the petrols and gas ........ ever ...

Whats your honest economy figures ?
Just curious as to what economy figures people are getting out of there engines after they have done a bit of work to there rigs. The reason i ask is, i once had a 84 model Lux 2Litre petrol with 4 inch lift 35's and barwork and compared to my new rig with a very similar set up it was heaps cheaper ...

And i absolutely agree about the drop shackles. There awesome for ramp comps but after seeing what they did to a mates rig after a day ( basically fu!@#ed his leaf pack in its twisty weird way) im not a fan. They only rely on the weight of the wheel to drop in the first place, so how is that ment to ...

Has anybody tried taking all the load barers out, chamfering (spelling) the ends of a few remaining leafs and running air bags ? The poly air kits are not very expensive at all and claim to give much better on and off road performance. Im running a 4 inch lift (3 in the springs 1 in the shackle) and ...

Add a coil
Was looking thru a mag the other day and saw this add a coil system for leaf springs. They basically just mount a coily in the middle of the leaf pack and mount it to the sub frame. Anyone tried em ? Supposedly a much more comfortable ride, which i admit i could handle in my ute. Just wonder how the ...

Make sure you ask a lot of questions about the 5th gear / gearbox. These rigs have this problem and can be quite expensive to fix if you dont know anyone in the game. I paid 20K for my 2000 model, coil/leaf. Luckily being a council car and having a full service history it had the 5th gear repaired ...
