Re: Transfer output bearings
Yeah if you grab the slip joint it moves up down and all around, it is a problem you wouldn't have with IFS, Joys of doing a SAS. Two options I have are 1. Get another transfer and swap the gears over or 2. strip the transfer and replace the broken bits with new parts. i think the latter will be ...

Re: Transfer output bearings
You can just renew the output piece where the slipjoint is, thats what I did. Made it out of brass - solid as a rock now.

Re: LWB Crawler chop! Long travel test
Got it, i'd get a Dana 300. they are really tough and gear driven. If you're stretching chains that's the only way to go.
Cool thanks for the info, does anyone in the states do a adaptor plate to mate to the 5 speed manual (V5m21). I would have to run it upside down permantly as I did my SAS with ...

Re: LWB Crawler chop! Long travel test
Hey mate, sorry I'm from Australia. Just put Mexico in for a joke. I've got the marks gears in my SAS'd paj but I keep stretching the chains in the transfers. Trying to figure out if there is a cost efective way to fix this problem.

Re: LWB Crawler chop! Long travel test
Hey Mate, looks tops. Its an awesome beast. Just a quick question, how much stronger is the NP231 transfer over the std Mit's case? And is worth while doing the swap without doing the doubler case mod?

Re: sas swb 86
I have SAS'd my Paj and I still run the slip shaft, all I did was put the shocks in and work out the maximum down travel. From this you know how long the shaft needs to be so it won't fall out, you also need to work out the maximum up travel so that you dont punch the slip shaft thru your transfer ...

Re: NH Transfer Case
Just the usual clunking from the transfer when in 4wd, mainly when you hop on and off the gas you can hear it slapping around but only in 4wd.
Nastly vibration on take off sounds like uni's or a bush on the output of the transfer case.

NH Transfer Case
Hey There, Has anyone looked at putting a different type of transfer in a Paj? I keep stretching the chains, I did one before I got the reduction gears put in and another after the gears were done. I'm over pulling the case out and in. Anyone got any ideas?

Hey guys,
At the moment I have a bit of a problem, I have a SASed Paj and I have flogged out both output bearings and now with the amount of movement the shafts have I am going thru seals like underwear. Is there any off the shelf bearing that can be bought to install? Mitisubishi have told me this ...

Yeah I liked the DVD, BUT.... the sound track has some of the same songs as last years DVD and a heap of the Willowglen DVD's. I think the producers need to have a look at this in the future, you can't just re use the same songs every year.
