We need a better definition of the smoke..
Firstly, then fact that it hangs and doesn't disperse quickly would make you think it is definitely smoke and not steam so the rules out condensation in the exhaust or a coolant leak from the headgasket.

Just go to the wreckers and replace them. Although in a couple of weeks I'll have bulletproof mounts for sale from standard to 2" lift.

Will these be solid or rubber to allow for some movement without tearing the bolts out of the t/c?

Cheers

The 'sunraiser' brand doesn't exist anymore. The rims are made by a few different manufacturers, Speedy, ROH...etc. You can buy them in a few different sizes of offset, you just need to specify what you want when ordering.

I would hazard a guess that it's a bent housing too, but that wouldn't account for the squealing noise. You can get the housing straightened if you don't want to re-do spring perches. It only takes a little bend in the housing on that long side to make that seal leak.

There are engineering shops that will bend it back for you and get it straight again. It happens a lot with our Cruisers that get driven by German tourists on Fraser Is. You will need to remove and completely strip it though. I wouldn't be so keen to do it myself, espeacialy while still in place. It ...

Yes, round and square teeth. I'm not 100% sure but I think the earlier ones were square and later round. I personally wouldn't let any cambelt go much past 100k, they start going into borrowed time then.
