Re: Spanking Wrangler sahara 4 door 2012. :)
specs of the arab models will likely be different to the US or Aussie models so can't really compare trim models and what you're meant to get with them. Although JK wranglers here do not come with a service key minus the transponder - just 2 original keys with the transponder in them. if it is meant ...

The up side is that VM Motori is not a Chrysler owned company - they have been making diesel engines for.... yonks, so whilst chrysler based supply may be less than perfect the original manufacturer of the engine is there as backup. The diesel electronics are made by Bosch so once again your not ...

yer a dude by the username on ajor of silver_jk i think owned it. he wheeled it moderately hard but I think got over it and traded on something else.
Wouldn't be surprised if it has issues somewhere. I mean being a Jeep it will have issues make no mistakes about it but to what extent is the question.

Re: More flex out of level panhards? True or false?
many kits for the JK wrangler lift the roll center from the axle end (relocate axle end mounts upwards). Generally they lift the front 3" as they are able to flip the drag link on the steering knuckle and this sits it approximately 3" above its standard location, so keeps them nice and level - also ...

money is better spent on a winch, people have done high country and cape trips for many years without lockers and on 33" tyres and smaller and not to mention standard vehicles! +35" tyres and lockers for touring/trek style trips is an internet sensationalist thing - you're not going to these places ...

Nope.
Just get shocks to suit an XJ in the length you want mate. Will ride and handle for the better too.

Re: product for wheel arch and trans tunnel sound dead'n?
simply painting the floor with that stuff won't do much. if you look at the insides of a modern vehicle gutted you will see they only add sound deadening materials to certain areas of the bodywork and usually in certain shapes and patterns. they are able to "tune" the vibration out of the metal ...

Re: JK Unlimited Wrangler CRD Auto- ERRATICALLY NOT STARTING
When it is doing this does the stereo turn off when you turn it all the way around to START? If it doesn't then it is not receiving any instruction to Start and it might be worth looking closer into the ignition barrel. If the stereo turns off then the ignition barrel is most likely doing it's job ...

Force aren't too bad. I have been flogging mine for a while now and they're good enough to not destroy your stuff and not really expensive enough to be upset about if they were to get stolen from your vehicle. Wouldn't use them for professional use but for the backyarder they're good. My only ...

Re: Edelbrock shocks
I have used them on a GQ. I'd suggest you look elsewhere. The valving was average. Very firm on road and offroad they were firm unless you drove with pace and fury. The downside of this was as the shock released on those larger/faster axle movements the body was uncontrolled and you could pitch ...

i agree with scott. Prado, Pajero and Pathfinder will all do what you want offroad and be miles better than a Patrol or Landcruiser on road. Interior space is not all that different either - for such big vehicles there's a surprising lack of space inside the Cruiser and Patrols (its a disgusting ...

Fox shocks for quality and performance. King shocks for support and because they are what all the 'new' cool kids have. Both can be revalved. If you can rebuild one shock you can rebuild them all. Fox shocks have cheaper replacement parts compared to some other brands. My vote is get the Fox shocks ...

The lockers and the sway bars work well and you can control them when your in 2wd,4wd,high or low range. Unless they are aftermarket, that is incorrect. Swaybar release only works in 4H and 4L and rear locker only activates in 4L. Its a diesel wrangler unlimited (not rubicon) and it has the offroad ...

The engine in that link is the VP44 model, not commonrail. Are there any reports of VP pump models grenading or is it a common-rail thing? So run (like I think you should on any turbo motor) boost and EGT gauges and you should be able to keep it in one piece ? That's my train of thought. that and the problem can be fixed, unlike the ZD30 which nissan refuses to acknowledge, and there is no apparent fix other than rebuild(if you can) or replace The only way a ZD30 can grenade itself is if EGT's get out of control. Running one with a boost gauge you'd spot trouble long before and ...
