I did one last week with Tartarini injection. They run ridiculously well. I have not had one single customer that has been dissapointed with their conversion. But I spent nearly 4 days on that one (had to make the kit myself as there was no kit for the 3.5l there were only premade kits for the 3.8 ...

Have done a few of these with Impco over the years. Not the best engine for gas but so far all of the ones I look after are running great. There are a few tricks with the way the system should be wired up so as not to interfere with the petrol ECU operation and diagnostics, otherwise lazy fitters ...

I ve been doin em for years mate. I only fit IMPCO to them and they always run awesome. The high torque's are a great motor on gas BUT make sure your ignition system is in perfect order to eliminate the chance of backfire. Cause when they backfire they love to do a bit of damage to the intake and ...
I'm a fitter in Melb if your interested. Have you got a long range fuel tank already fitted??? It would save a bit on the price if you do. Its $3280 for LWB carbi And $3394 for EFI All GENUINE IMPCO equipment not the copy. All installed by someone thats been doin gq's for near on 15 years. E-mail me ...

Well it isn't RWC without the electric lock off on the tank if it has the provision for one. You shouldn't be getting any gas flow at all if the lock off is not powered up!!!! There is something up there. I hate to be mean but judging by the knowlege you have and what you are calling the CONVERTOR ...
Thats the main reason why I don't convert jeeps to gas when the owner want the tank underneath. Even a smaller diameter tank isn't much better but it would improve it a little but you'll be up for a new tank and straps to suit. The regulations for hang down is pretty crazy when you look at them. You ...

I agree with you the aussie desert cooler rads are junk IMO. The tripple flow looks good in theory but barely works in practice. Are you sure your head is not cracked??? Or gasket leaking??? Are you noticing any coolant loos but not seeing it on the ground? If you have changed everything you said ...

It has a BBQ ring type mixer so backfire will not affect. First thing I would try is to make sure the excess flow valve has not been tripped for some funny reason, what you need to do is (with the car off) turn the gas service tap off at the tank and give the tank a couple of bangs just with the ...

You will have problems with compressor lubrication with the newer generation of A/C compressors. You need a old school York type compressor that has a sump and therefore provides constant lubrication to the compressor. Otherwise you will have to figure out a way to provide some sort of lubrication ...

No what you need is a good fitter to do the install thats all. I do a really nice Tartarini VSI, or lpg vapour injection system for all Prado's. They run amazingly well, will not backfire (EVER) and give the best performance, especially for towing, excellent economy and absolutely seamless operation ...

I fit Tartarini injection primarily and Eurogas next. These two are by far the best systems I have dealt with both in reliability and performance. The taratrini system uses a unique matrix injector which is far more stable and reliable than any injector I have dealt with. Heres a pic of a Territory ...

You will not have valve issues on gas with the 4.8 if you get a GOOD, weel tuned Injected LPG system. The main reason why the 4.8 will have problems with valve seat recession is because of incorrect or too lean fuel mixtures when on gas, and this occurs regularly with a old type mixer ring or air ...

I fit Tartarini LPG injection to the 4.8's and they run so amazingly well you wouldnt believe it. The last one I did had 6kw more at 3000rpm on gas than petrol at the wheels. I have seen alot of horror stories with the 3.0L latley, especially if your towing with it. Expect to be up for a flywheel at ...

The 4.5 efi engine management system shuts down the injectors on over-run. The gas is still being drawn into the engine on over-run even though it is only the idle amount. You got it in one. It depends what system you have installed, my guess is that its a Impco system, in this case de-accel fuel ...

Mate that sucks. I have been fitting patrols for many years and I have mostly used impco on them for reliability. The issues you are having are purely due to fittment. If you find they are not fixing it ( I doubt they will be able to judging by their work) you can come and see me at work and we can ...
