I did one last week with Tartarini injection.
They run ridiculously well.
I have not had one single customer that has been dissapointed with their conversion. But I spent nearly 4 days on that one (had to make the kit myself as there was no kit for the 3.5l there were only premade kits for the 3.8 ...

Have done a few of these with Impco over the years.
Not the best engine for gas but so far all of the ones I look after are running great.
There are a few tricks with the way the system should be wired up so as not to interfere with the petrol ECU operation and diagnostics, otherwise lazy fitters ...

Well it isn't RWC without the electric lock off on the tank if it has the provision for one.
You shouldn't be getting any gas flow at all if the lock off is not powered up!!!!
There is something up there.
I hate to be mean but judging by the knowlege you have and what you are calling the CONVERTOR ...

I agree with you the aussie desert cooler rads are junk IMO. The tripple flow looks good in theory but barely works in practice.
Are you sure your head is not cracked??? Or gasket leaking???
Are you noticing any coolant loos but not seeing it on the ground?
If you have changed everything you said ...

It has a BBQ ring type mixer so backfire will not affect.
First thing I would try is to make sure the excess flow valve has not been tripped for some funny reason, what you need to do is (with the car off) turn the gas service tap off at the tank and give the tank a couple of bangs just with the ...

Otherwise you will have to figure out a way to provide some sort of lubrication ...

You will not have valve issues on gas with the 4.8 if you get a GOOD, weel tuned Injected LPG system.
The main reason why the 4.8 will have problems with valve seat recession is because of incorrect or too lean fuel mixtures when on gas, and this occurs regularly with a old type mixer ring or air ...

I fit Tartarini LPG injection to the 4.8's and they run so amazingly well you wouldnt believe it.
The last one I did had 6kw more at 3000rpm on gas than petrol at the wheels.
I have seen alot of horror stories with the 3.0L latley, especially if your towing with it. Expect to be up for a flywheel ...
