TB42 to TD42 Conversions problems?

Ive just helped a mate of mine swap over a TB42 to a turbo TD42 diesel now its all in and running/driving fine

He's just got one problem he cant seem to get the tacho working at all, has anyone done a conversion before or have any idea how to wire up the original tacho?

Guys ive been looking at the superior engineering Proportioning valve bracket to suit 3-4 inch lift as i now have 3 inch spring and 30mm spacers in my gq

do i neeed one of these,whats it do etc? as i havent noticed any difference in my braking etc?

ive had a set of 33's on my patrol for a few months now there a awsome tyre heaps better than the cooper st i had on before about the same road noise as those coopers but heaps more grip in the wet especially and off road been excellent so far , ive had bfg muds before and like these MTZ's better
