Not just waste vegetable oil poured into your tank, proper filtered and coveted biodiesel.

Had any problems?
Used a different fuel filter?

TD42 non turbo. Running 5'' lift and 35s.

13-14L/100kms town driving. Havn't tested it on the highway.

Have to agree that a 3.0L diesel is to small for a Patrol. Tell my old man that about his '04 Rodeo 3.0L TDI auto all the time, biggest slug. The chev 6.5 diesel has 130kw & 420nm. (non turbo)
TB48 has 180kw & 400nm.
TD42T has 114kw & 330nm.

A GU TD42T with a turbo upgrade might be more cost effective, unless hes set on an auto. Could get an auto from a GQ TD42. Might be hard to find one.

Are the GQ TD42 and the GU TD42T heads different?

I was told they are different but I couldn't see why.

I got them out of a wrecked GU my Dad brought. Couldn't notice it was bent even when they were out. I reckon its only out of wack by 5mm. Thing is this is a GU diff I only just put in. Looks like i'll have to pull it out and find a diff shop that can bend it back.

I like the bottle jack idea. I'll have to ask my dad if he's still got his massive old as hydro jack that was rated to something like 50 tons.

The diff was out of a wrecked patrol. When it crashed the tie rod must have pulled on the swivel housing so hard it bent the diff. You can hear the CV rumbing on the housing when driving. My diff has bent on one end between the weld and where the swivel housing goes on, can I simply just heat it up and bend it back some how? The CV rubs the wall of the housing.

Is it cast iron or cast steel?

If it was cast iron it wouldn't it just brake?
