tjm's cradle is for thier alloy bars, i think, they are prolly just as good as each other, it all depends what you like the look of and how much u want to spend Alloy bars need cradles, but then again some of the steel bars also need then. depens on how the winch mounts inside,(feet forward or down)

what you need is the steering arms from a BJ43 HJ-FJ47 Cruiser ( have some of these arm sets on the shelf and are getting hard to get ) from about 1979 on as these have the correct bolt position for the later disc brake svivel housings. Alternatively you can get taper bushes to fit small 40 series ...

yep the taper is but the cruiser 40s and hilux tie rods are smaller than the 60s

may have to look at running 60s.70s or 75s rod as well but was hopeing there was a end that would fit into the 40s rod

i just posted on the other thread you made of this on the tech page can't you swap the fortys tie rod and replace it with a hilux? yes u can fit it on but the left tierod end is desined to take a steering dampner and not a relay rod so the taper is around the wrong way.. so need to find a tierod ...

when to fit up tierod ends but the cruiser ones have a too small taper
