Re: battery selection

yeah i am not going to worry about the cap. was not sure how usefull it would be any way. I think i will just go for a marine 110amp battery and not use the amp while the car is turned off.

Re: battery selection

I nearly always only use the stereo while the car is running. If i have the stereo on with out the car running i turn that amp off so it is not drawing a large amount of current. I am also considering installing a capacitor to even out the current draw so it is not so much high current pulse and ...

Re: GU ute steering woble @ 90k's

It could be one of the bushes in any of the front suspension arms. Tho only reason rotating the tires would help if if they are out of balance. I would try to check all my bushes my self and failing that I would take it to get the wheels balanced and get an alignment. If you do get an alignment make ...

Re: running 33s

if you want 33's and a daily driver you will need diff gears or you will chew thru clutches. x-fer gears will not change your high range gearing. i have got 34's (used to have 33's) and 6.5 x-fer and a 1.6 injected and it is a POS when in high range. as for clearance i have got spoa so i cant help ...

i would have a look in the a/c evaporator. the drain could be blocked and water could be moving around in the tray.

i had creased both my quarters in exactly the same spot. suprisingly on trees too. Since i have chopped the quarters and made a tube rear bar i have not done any more damage. IMHO a tube bar will stop you doing any damage if you do slide into a tree and still look good.

to get the best flex you want to make your shocks as long as possible. You could adust your controll arms your self by sleeving them but i think it would take a bit of playing to get it right. drop boxes are pretty tricky, unless you can find some to copy off i think you will stuggle to get them ...

Every one says auto hubs are crap but unless you are using your truck as a comp rig or are running massive tyres ie. 37 i think they are fine. My mate has just put them on his ute with 35in MTZ's and he loves them.

I have a pyro mounted in the exhaust manifold (pre turbo) and under load, say going up a decent hill on the highway it can climb up to 650. With the sierra on the trailer behind it will get up to 700. That is with N/A pump (wound right out), 13psi and a dyno tune. AFIK 650 is fine, but i would ...

I am doing the same thing. I want to run 36 or 37in tyres and i want mor width cause i keep putting my sierra on its side so i am gonna run MQ diffs. They are cheap as (compared with GQ)and the rear center is offset so it should be a bit easier.
