over here the GQ was 1988 onwards and had the 4.2 litre TD42, all came with 5 speeds. there is sometimes a difference in the model numbering between overseas and here. this is my 1990 4.2 petrol GQ which has the TB42 and 5 speed ... http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/479/sg2670ss.jpg http://img10 ...

C200 has an unboltable inspection plate. H233B is the normal diff. Most MK had these, MQs had C22 H260 are Large diffs MQ utes, GQ leaf sprung utes and GUs leaf sprung utes, some 3liters, some 4.8petrols..... My MQ had C200 front, H233B rear and now has H233 front (B - low pinion) an H260 rear. I ...

Re: Replacing GQ Trailing Arm Bushes

the outer shell of the bush is very thin so you need a perfect sized dolly to push them out. you can try sanding down an old bush shell enough to make a loose fit inside the trailing arm then use a flat plate on top to push it evenly on to the bush you need to remove. Agree with the others, the poly ...

Re: MQ vs 35's

GQ cv's fit on the end of MQ front axles. I did this for years with my MQ. You just need the inside bits out of a GQ free wheeling hub. They will be stronger than MQ cv's but will still break eventually. The rear axles snap very easily too with 35's. I had billet steel axles made up for mine, after ...

Re: * Carnage Canyon 2011* cancelled for now

I had planned to run the event on 15th and 16th October so if half a dozen blokes put their hand up to have a track making weekend instead i'll see if the park will give us a free weekend to do it. I have found a new route down the gorge but there is a lot of small trees etc that need chainsawing ...

* Carnage Canyon 2011* cancelled for now

I walked it on friday ... there is a line there so it is still drivable but it needs a ton of work to get it clear enough to get a car through. too much chainsaw work and rock stacking to make it passable unless half a dozen blokes spend a weekend doing it.

Looks like i will have to cancell it. :(
