if its not getting enough fuel, boost will be limited.
more fuel in= more gas out = more boost = more air in = opportunity to add more fuel and so on.
I had my boost controller (80series) set at 14 psi, adjusted the boost controller (waste gate) up, but got no more boost, after adding more fuel ...

Limited Boost on 3L
Hi all.
I have a Garrett turbo setup on my 2.8L Diesel Hilux. It has a 0.48 Comp housing on it. I hooked up a gauge and it shows 5 psi. I thought I might try and make it run at 8-9 psi like some of the DTS setups seem to. I tried a bleed valve which didnt work and then tried just taking the ...

Pics wanted of tonneau cutout for roll bar.
Hi all.
I just picked up a second hand Tonneau for my Hilux and since the missus has industrial sewing machines I am keen to see how the cut out for roll bars should be done.
Send to grepin@internode.on.net if posting here is too hard.
Thanks in advance.

What is the best seats for a Hilux??
I want to put some better seats in the Hilux without spending big bucks on new aftermarket ones.
What is the best seats for ease of fittment to a 89 Hilux. Something obtainable from a wrecker.
I did a search as I thought I read something about Surf stuff but couldnt find it again.
Thanks

Want Tonneau but no hooks.
Just got a xtra cab Hilux and want to fit a Tonneau. I have no hooks and am wondering what my best option is. Could probably have a go myself but could get messy. I imagine Toyota would be expensive. Its a bit of a roughy so dont want to pay top dollar. What have other people done?
Thanks

Hilux door locks??
Hi all. Just got a 90 series xtra cab. Has some sort of turbo on it. Will post pics once I know how. Sure there will be many questions as I get into fixing/changing bits.
My first issue is that the door locks are an absolute pain. Original key works sometimes but new cut key wont work at all.

What aircon compressor.
Hi all.
I am picking up an 90 model 2.8 diesel xtra cab SR5. It has all the aircon however the compressor was removed 2 years ago due to the bracket braking. I am thinking rather than taking a chance on the compressor wether I should get a new one or exhange reco or whatever. Something posssibly ...

Done a search but cant find any info on the power figures between the two.
Can anyone tell me how a MQ SWB patrol 3.3D performs compared to a 4.2D? Is a 4.2D a better option?
Thanks

Deciding on 4wd.
I drove an 89 Landcruiser Sahara 4.2 TD the other day and am wondering how it compares to a TD 2.5 Pajero. I will be wanting to tow a 1.2 ton boat short ranges and beach work. Pajeros can be had for around $5K and the Landcruisers are about $7-8K in turb diesel.
Thanks
