Please dont bash the cat out. A decent high flow cat will not restrict power noticably at the level the Feroza puts out. Bashing them out is a dodgy hack way of doing it. They are not that dear.

Well, there's not too many of them here, and fewer people who may have tried what you're considering.

Have you visited a wrecker or an engine importer, to see if you can get a look at both engines?

Pretty sure from what I've read that a 2.5 is just an overbored 2.3 so in real terms it should ...

just a thought... check that you have got a decent earth from the motor to the chassis, chassis to body..and from battery to body dont think it would be your starting issue but it may cause the power lead on the battery to heat up if your trying to push a lot of current (amp) draw down a badly ...

the easiest (and safest) way to check for a LSD if your stickers gone .. jack both rear wheels off the ground (use axle stands not just the jack!) and spin the wheels .. if it's an Open diff the opposite wheel will spin in the opposite direction to the one your turning, if it's LSD they should both ...

Conputer from daihatsu charade 1.3(95PS) 4x4. Revs go then to 7.500 instead of 6.250 (stock feroza).

However at those rev's your not producing anymore tourqe, and driving offroad with those sorts of revs will lead to breakages ... you need to be looking at ways of producing more tourqe rather ...

Cant comment on the Gen 2 HOWEVER my Gen 1 Paj does the same thing ... lots of body roll, vauge steering, wandering etc... and yeah ive done the new shocks, bushes, tie rods, ball joints, and alingment route too.

just make sure it has been serviced EVRY 5000 KM on the dot ... the 2.5 TD has a habit of self distructing if maintanance hasnt been kept up, the motors are inherantly dirty and sooty and NEED thier oil and filters changed reguarly.

Please check, I think the terios does not have a low range
severely limiting 4x4 capability. although Im not sure.

No low range but they do have center diff lock (that turns it into a normal 4x4 in hi ratio) and will go anywhere a Feroza can go in High range, my wife drove one for almost a year ...

well.. I ended up going to see thee dude at the brake place and asking him for bolts to fit. The threads have been stripped :?
his technique would be to use the oxy and heat the drum up around the center... then hit it with a hammer to 'spring' it off.
I'll try that next week with the map gas ...
