bfg m/t km tyre pressures on a vit
hi, I have a brand new set of 30" bfg m/t's, what are people using them for road/mud/sand?
Tyre place put 40psi in them, but Im thinking around 32psi is a better starting point for road?

vitara strut spacers. confused..
Looks like Ive almost maxed out the length of my Ultima struts on my Vit. I see that there are two types of strut spacers ones that bolt onto the shaft and one that spaces between the body: http://i13.ebayimg.com/02/i/001/0f/f8/d25a_1.JPG http://i20.ebayimg.com/02/i/08/b9/36/d9_1.JPG is one better ...

has anyone bought BFG from there? Are they the real deal? Im saving at least $300 for a set, but a little wary on fakes/parrallel imports.

upgrading vitara brakes (swb)
Forgive me if this has been covered but a seach of the forums has resulted in no result.
Anyways, can I swap over the brakes from a GV Grand Vitara into my 91 SWB Vitara? I know the Grand has vented front discs (which are slightly larger in diameter) and are vented. What about the rear drums?

largest SWB vitara spare size
hi, can anyone tell me what is the largest spare tyre i can fit in the back of a 91 SWB Vitara? This in turn determines the size of the rest of the tyres (thinking of 30"s)

vitara soft top replacement
hi, its time to replace my soft top but there are at least 3 or 4 soft top ads on ebay and Im not sure if they differ in quality. The price range to choose from is pretty significant.
Are there any ones that I should avoid or ones that are recommended. (even oustide of ebay)

Makes perfect sense, thanks very much for your informative replyImpulsive wrote:Having owned half a dozen early Vitaras, the thing that springs to mind is the problem that these blocks have with cracking. I would be worried that it would be more succeptable to cracking if you remove even more metal from it.

1750cc Vitara bottom end?
Hi, looks like the reason why my Holley carb conversion didnt gain anything is due to a tired engine.. so ... Having looked at the Suzisport website i see that this is a fairly common conversion. By looking at previous dealings with Suzisport, they seem to be not the most economical/reliable of ...

secondaries are only really needed when "gettin right up it" which you will do coz the noise and extra power the weber gives you is adictive. Good luck and welcome to the land of the Weber. :D :D I actually have no differance in the sound of the carb.. I initally thought that the airfilter might be ...

Well I got my carb fitted to my 1.6 Vitara (Holley 180 same as 32/36). The guy who fitted it was a carb specialist and I trust he put the correct jetting, so ...after driving for the past week I can say: Negatives: NO power increase in fact I may have lost a couple hp below 3000 rpm (using the seat ...

thanks for that, I forgot to say that it is actually for a 1600 (Vitara). The 'specialist' told me that using a Holley 180 will be better for a 1300cc, but actually a step backwards for a 1600. NIK, it looks like you've proven them wrong ;) can anyone recommend a vitara or even a carb specialist ...
