Re: endless air for hj47 with 2h
My 47 has an aircon bracket on the top left of the motor. I have one aircon compressor with a double pulley. I am going to mod the bracket so that i can have a second compressor running off the first one. Any 60 series 2h air con bracket should work. You may have to add or change some harmonic ...

Thanks santos I just double checked the HIC and there was a kink in the new vacuum hose I had just put on so I have shortened it so it doesnt kink. From a quick lap around the block it seems better but the idle is now pulsing a little bit. See how it goes tommorow but hopefully this has fixed it ...

1.3 carb stalls once revs drop from above 3000rpm *fixed*
I have an 85 sierra with a manual choke carby. Problem is that after it is warm when stopping at traffic lights from high revs, the revs will hold at around 1500 - 2000rpm. A blip of the throttle is sometimes enough to get it back to idle or pulling on the choke. It doesnt happen everytime i stop. I ...

The cam wants to be just before the intake stroke, not after. And as Boner said, line up TDC on the crank pulley. If you can't find the timing mark on the dizzy then just mark where number one is on the cap and metal base, remove cap and line up the rotor to that mark. If you have it somewhere in ...

dizzy timing (1.3L) what have i done wrong?
I've just recently replaced the motor in my sierra with another 1.3 and I'm having trouble with the timing of the distributor. I dont have a timing light so I just want to get it close enough so the motor runs and will get it properly tuned by a mechanic with a timing light. When i first started the ...

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g264/tooheys_1981/winchdiagram.jpg I can see what dave means about the fairlead being a pivot point, but for it to lift the rear it really needs to be fixed so the vehicle can rotate around it. I tend to agree with the others saying that the winch line always wants ...

Low comp on 1 cylinder. rings or valve?
I recently brought a SJ413 hard top that had a bit of a tired motor. I've done a compression test on the motor and from front to back: No.1: 105psi No.2: 210psi No.3: 210psi No.4: 210psi When i did the compression test I did all cylinders twice and the motor was at operating temperature when I did ...

From what I can gather from the fleet angle tables, is, if the drum is 300mm wide the first sheave is somewhere around 20 ft. away from the drum. Or I maybe missing something here. Ashy Yeah i cocked up your right for every 1 foot of width for a smooth drum the first point of connection needs to be ...

We've got about 500mm from drum to the pulley on the rear crossmember. Fingers crossed it's going to be OK. Steve. What you need to have for it to spool correctly is the correct fleet angle. This site explains fleet angle http://www.wintech-winches.com/net_files/calculating_fleet_angle.htm . Pretty ...

Thanks I was hoping one of you two guys would answer this. I chose to stay Swift water pump, so I could have multi V belts, for falcon alternator and Vitara Power Steering.
