try and get closed cell foam for insulation- the problem with the felt stuff is the water retention when wet can cause rusting and also a nice stale smell if not aired out properly- the rust point is particularly relevant if you are going to attach insulation on the engine side of the firewall to ...

Air COn fitted and let me say it is almost too good. It hasn't been to hot since I have had it only around 28 with low humidity but I am cold driving around with it on the lowest fan setting. I still need to put facia's up covering the front and back of unit but FNQ Auto Air did a top quality job ...

I know it's a bit late but another fridge is the Explorer- aussie made out of marine grade aluminium, 75mm insulation, uses Danfoss BD35 compressor and is one of the few fridges with separate fridge and freezer compartments. DOwnsides are price, overall size due to the separate compartments and ...

Andrew, I have the following quote on my computer- "the LT95 4 speed with 0.996 high range gears. Spoke to Mal and suggested doing up the LT-95 and changing the hi-ratio transfer case gearset to 0.996. That's exactly what I did and I'm happy with the result. Round 2100rpm at 100km/h." I don't know ...

Well I went in to the a/c place with all intents and purposes to buy the Red Dot unit and walked out with something different. The manager of the shop explained a few problems I would encounter with the Red Dot and explained what they had found with mounting units in vans etc. SO I am now getting an ...

Thanks for all the replies. Looks like I will go the Red Dot way. I can't mount it behind the rear seats as I have built an ALuminium draw system and have my 56l Explorer Fridge and spare tyre in the back so it will have to go behind the front seats. As for the vents I plan on doing this also- I ...

Not sure about sway bars but from what I remember about Perenties- the standard GS army rover had a bit of body sway but I heard of very few roll overs. The RFSV Perenties which is what you will see in the Cairns bassed army rovers have had longer travel Rangerover suspension and power steering ...

air con advice please

Please help- I need advice/opinions on what I should do. I have in a previous post discussed fitting a defender a/c underdash unit into my county. I am worried about the loss of passenger leg room and other complaints I have heard about the air blowing into the knees. I am on the verge of buying one ...

ISUZUROVER,
Looks good, I would like to do this for my County. How do you go bending 3mm Al, in the past I have had a bit of trouble with anything over 2mm. Any bending tips would be good. Cheers,

Cheers Murray, Have looked at red book but prices there don't seem to match those with the private ads I've seen- I'm hoping that the sellers just are asking too much. As for the turbo diesel the Rocky utes never came out with it as standard- just an optional extra- so rare as Rocky utes are ones ...

Rocky Advice

Hi All, I am currently looking to buy a Rocky Diesel Ute (hard to find a good one). When I was a kid Dad had a diesel Scat and we both loved it- I like the rocky as it is a smaller sized deisel ute that is four cyclinder and you seem to be able to get one under $10k. Any advice as to where to look ...
