I think you might mean putting an auto transfer case into a manual.
Manual low is 2.02, auto low is 2.48.

The last time i checked there wasn't anything available for the fronts, ARB told me that there wasn't enough rooom in the housing for a front air locker,
for the air lines that is.

If the air bag goes off, it won't be able to get past the seat cover.
You would have to cut an opening for it to come through.

I've removed one of the helper leaves, and that made a difference.

It was the one that the main spring pack is touching, if that makes sense, this way you don't have to open up the main pack.

Also helps it flex better.

Yeah the position of the coolers are crap, need to be careful on your approach. Poppersmurf, I've got a 3" Taipan vortex gen2 and a DP chip on my 2WD ranger and love it, pulls really nice, doesn't sound loud and crappy, and fuel consumption is a little better. The exhaust gave an extra 2psi of ...

Andrew if you're happy with the courier, you'll be happy with the ranger, but it's still just a updated courier with a good engine.
If you want better fuel economy i'd go the manual, my auto crew cab is as thirsty as your 4ltr V6, sometime worst, but i do like the auto off road though.

The 2wd is the 2.5 manual

I was expecting a couple of litres above the sticker, but not around 5.
Seems the manual 3lt is the way to go for economy, i think the stall converter in the auto is a little to high.

I've got the XLT ranger in auto and i'm around the 15L/100 also, and that's with the ute empty.
My 2wd ranger which carries close to a tonne all day every day gets around 9L/100.

Troy does the water run off your windscreen, or does it just sit there until you turn on your wipers on, even in this rain i don't go past intermediate, you'll benefit more from a well cleaned and sealed(like waxing your car) screen than quicker wipers, something like autoglym glass polish will help...

Hi Brendo,

Going to crystalvale on Monday if you're interested,
as for ironman gear, only heard of a couple of negative comments so far, but their prices seem pretty good, i suppose you get what you pay for.
What size tyres are you looking at getting.

Cheers Jayde

Hey Gemtec, I had mine over on north straddie before easter and never had any dramas either, had to snatch my mates vitara a couple of times though. I was looking at the ironman bar, but another ranger owner said he wasn't that impressed, he said the wings moved too much, $1200 for a winch bar sound...

I was just down fingal today, some deep soft sand down there in some parts, but the worst thing is the trees draging down the sides of the car, might have to go down with a hedge trimmer  ,
Also, are you getting your sliders made, or off the shelf, would like to put some on mine too.

I've just purchased a new XLT dual cab ranger in auto, because the majority of it's life will probably be on the road, although i'm going to do my best to get out there when ever i can. So i was pretty glad to see that alot of people seem to prefer autos for offroad. I havn't had the chance to take ...
