i understand what you are saying cossie but i believe it is a fairly common to put in 80 series shocks into the front of a gq to get extra travel i would like the 4b to sit at about 3in like i said i carry a 35 on rear of 4b and usual recovery gear leys say 20-30 kg and one passanger normaly so i ...

i have not put in the new shocks yet but i understand you need to put a 1in spacer under the shock tower on the front so the shocks do not bottom out the shock lengths are front 380mm closed and 615mm open the rear shocks are 430mm closed and 720mm open.

gq coils

just wondering what coils to get ? i have 80 series front shocks and long travel rears the shocks are ome. I want to make sure the springs dont fall out on full extension i carry a 35 on rear and usual recovery gear any advice would be great cheers

cool looks good how much did it cost you for the cooler ? also what air box are you using i put in a diesel one out of a gq but it seems to be restrictive.

the only other thing i am worried about is the frontmount getting cagged full of mud and not working and restricting air flow to the radiator do you guys have any probs with this happening? intercooling rb30

I am going to intercool my rb 30 i just want to know what is my best option. If i use a frontmount will this still work out in bush at low speeds? Or should i use a water to air cooler if so what brand and how much you think they cost thanks.

i have one and the only thing ive had trouble with was getting water in the dissy during river crossings i have since solved this problem by blocking the two little holes in the distributor shaft and venting the cap to air intake this solved my problem.

i took my caravan to local weighbridge when i drove on total weight was 3000kg i unhooked caravan and drove off and the weight was 1000kg. The person inside told me the weight is correct give or take 20kg. so my patrol weighs 2000kg give or take 20kg but it has rb30 motor in it.

my shocks are n73 ome do i need to swap them for the "L" model or will these shocks work well in front ? i have n29L for the rear would you suggest 4in springs with these shocks ? i have already got a 2in body lift so i dont want to make the 4by unstable.

thanks for that does not sound to hard but would it be a good idea to extend my bump stops so coils dont bind up ? if so what what would you suggest?
