Hi guys, its a LWB NH or NJ with a 3.5 litre with twin garrett T28 turbos running about 11 psi boost, through an auto box (don't know what type), it absolutely flies  . This engine replaces the previous supercharged 3 litre which apparently died due to overuse. Owned by Rob Chapman from ...

Hi Guys, for road I run BFG 265/75/16 AT's on factory alloys, I can't go too much larger without stuffing up the gearing and power band when towing the camper on long trips. Due for a new set soon and will probably stay with the same. For play I use BFG 285/75/16 MT's on Nissan GU rims. Love the ...

Hi Guys, just read Ian's post and made a quick phone call to find that my locker is sitting on the shelf waiting for me to pay for it and collect it. Don't know when fitting day is yet, but it sort of feels like waiting for Santa on Xmas eve when I was a kid. Can't wait until I can get up to Cruiser ...

Hi Scott, another option may be to fit a tank from a LWB Paj, about 92 L standard. I think it should fit now you have the lift in? (Don't know for sure) Not as much capacity as the aftermarket ones but a lot cheaper if it fits. Auxilary tanks seem to be more trouble than they are worth with all the ...

Hi, for 15" rims the GQ Patrol are the best fit on your Paj, or try the generic Paj/Navara offset white rims, and for 16x7" try Prado steelies, they are the same offset as Paj rims. GU Patrol 16x8" also fit well if you want a wider rim. Watch out for Hilux rims, some of them have a very wide offset ...

Hi Scott, 20 psi sounds like about where I would start for your shorty with lthe lighter weight, I have been running 22 psi in my LWB and it feels good for most surfaces without loosing the bead seats. I initially tried 25 psi, which I used to run in the 265's, but felt the 285's were a bit stiff at ...

Hi Scott, unfortunately I haven't found a lot to offer with rims off other makes. Prado steelies are 16x7", they fit Pajeros well but are too narrow. Nissan GU rims are perfect at 16x8" but are expensive because everyone seems to want them, it takes a lot of phone calls to tyre dealers to track down ...

Hi Scott, as I think I mentioned last night, I run 285 BFG MT's for serious driving, no complaints at all, they bag down really well at lower pressures. I haven't noticed any excess wear at this stage compared to my previous set, both were made in the USA. I have driven other pajeros with MTR's and ...

Neutral is SCARY !! Even an auto in low 1st (or reverse) will provide some engine braking if the beast gets away from you downhill, but in neutral you have nothing to stop you hitting terminal velocity if you have a brake mishap. If you are going to have to use brakes to slow your auto why not leave ...

Hi, I've just been wondering if my sensor may be getting a bit tired at 125000Km and if this is the cause of the increase in fuel usage I have noticed lately? Has anyone had any experience with cleaning or reconditioning the sensors, or they just a throw away item? Yet another chance to donate more ...

Hi Bitsa, good to hear that it worked for you, it's a totally different car to drive with the mods isn't it? Let me know if you think there is any improvement in the torque below 2000 rpm in your 3.0L, I certainly gained a lot in my 3.5 DOHC. I would be interested to see the dyno results when they ...

We had two NP's out on the weekend for a bit of a drive. One attempted a very steep rockface with BFG AT's at about 20 PSI. It walked up there very smoothly but at the top (~50 meters) the traction control started going out to lunch. Another few meters of climb could have been interesting with open ...

I think hard and soft are relative terms, it depends what you start with. The original shocks on my NK were very hard on compression giving a slightly bouncy ride, but pretty good bitumen handling. I replaced them with TJM XGS shocks which were softer on compression but probably stiffer on rebound ...
