yeah ive tried the coupling both ways.
on my original box it is the same tooth count as the transfer (the coupling is the same at both ends)

Thats what i thought when i bought it, they both look exactly the same, only difference i could pick was (and the guy i bought it off told me this) that i would have to swap the extension housing, how ever the output shaft from my gearbox has 21 teeth the output shaft on the new box has 26 teeth ...

thanks, had a look on the firewall, there are a few numbers G52 is there along with G582 and a Fxxx number.
Is there a number stamped on the actual box at all?

when you say all the same, from when till when. Petrol/diesel? 4cyl/v6? etc? obviously 2wd will be differant to 4wd

so ive smashed most of the teeth of the gear on the input shaft into the gearbox.. not sure what other damage is done (if any) because i havent pulled the box apart yet, but im looking at a second hand replacement box, probably cos i figure it will be cheaper than a rebuild (cost?) ? and i wanna get ...

got the horn working ended up just rewiring it.. with a new fuse as for the hazards, the blinkers work when the hazards are are off but as soon as i push the button for them the blinkers go off, i have power to the back of the hazard switch, and when the blinkers are on, the wires flash in time with ...

yeah thanks mate, its got 3" springs 2" body with shackles on 33s

ill keep hunting around, just hard driving it around with no plates lol got pulled over yesterday and the cop was more interested in the ute than worrying about anything else

thanks for that ill go out and have anther check now, there is power at both sides of the horn/hazard fuse in the engine bay
