Right, well i've taken all of this onboard, took it back to the mechanic and he is going to pull down the carby and clean it all.

He put in a filter before the fuel pump, but i think i may drain the tank when it comes back, fill it up and drop a litre of metho in.

This is going to sound like a ...

Righto, so if I take it apart and do break the gasket, then it's rebuild time I'm guessing?

Transfercase oil?

Just a quick one, did a search but nothing came up.

I'm about to install my transfer case gears over the weekend, and just need to know what transfercase oil I should use?

Any and all suggestions appreciated.

Cheers
Dan

P.S, the beast is almost alive!

Sorry for the lack of info in the first post, had been a big day.

They are the 6.5 for a 1995 WT Suzuki Sierra.
Thinking I'll give it a go myself, just follow the instructions and try not to get to excited and skip a step.
An excuse to buy a dremel, sweet. Been wanting one for a while now!

Reduction Gears

Just got my reduction gears from lowrangeoffroad.com, just wanting to know if anyone here has installed them their self?
I've looked at the instructions, and i'm relatively mechanically minded but just don't want to bugger it up.

Does anyone who has done it before want to do mine for a slab ...

Well, I really need to get the roady and what not done before I go out again, 2inch lift and 2inch body lift on stock narrow tyres sort of makes me nervous about a roll over!

So it'll be after the 25th of this month. So i'd guess that the 2nd of may might do the job.

Gwagensteve, thanks for all that mate. I'll give it all a good check over on the weekend.

Liam: Yeah, i've got the 32" mongrels begging to be put on, have to pass the RWC 1st.

Pyrotech: I must be showing my age, to much noise from the stereo gives me a headache!

I LIKES ME CARPET DAMN IT!!

NVH Levels in a sierra.

G'day, just after some ideas about ways to make the sierra a happier place to be, it's a 95mdl hard top.

What would you recomend to make it a little less noisey on the highway, more/thicker insulation under the carpet? Some sort of spray on sound deadner under the cabin? earmuffs?

Cheers

I know I'm not in NSW but I just placed an order for four Motorway Mongrels in 32x10.5x15 Monoforms @ $140 a tyre (woohoo! :P ). Reason they are so cheap, they didn't have any Mud Terrains that I was after (31x10.5x15), and it was going to be a 3 week wait to get the MT's in.

So maybe push for this ...

Thanks for the info. So the general concensus was that the speedy 15x7 (-15 offset) are the rims I'm after.

Thanks for that guys.

What offset rims for 31x10.5x15 sierra

G'day, had a quick look through the bible, couldn't find what I want to know, and the search button turns up no results (for anything, is it broken?)

What I want to know is what offset rims do I need for a wide track sierra (1995/hardtop), with a 2inch body lift and 2inch suspension lift.

I'd like ...
