mate we have a set of 37 treps on a gq with 2" body and 2"spring lift doesnt touch(bit off trimming tho)also have bfg mud 35's on my gu with no lift touches a bit at the top of the rear flare but all good, the lower ya can keep it with the biggest tyres is the go mate

hmm cheers guys thats not enough boost, how do they go but they spool up nice an early down low or theya late bloomer? also if you were to spend 1200 on a rebuild why not buy a nice new turbs for not muchh differance in price?

My honest opinion is that it's not worth doing. The 5 litre is not a particularly desirable engine. I would probably rather have the 4.5, and I'd definitely rather have the GU 4.8. If people who have them in their GQs are honest, I think you will find a lot of them will say that it's questionable ...

Ash, I say go for the 5.4lt. It may not be the worlds best rocketship. But it will be nice. I am sure there was WA GQ running one at some stage. nzdarin. the problem with the xr6t motors is that you cant get aftermarket engine management to run the dvct. using the standard ford computers is damn near impossible due to everything going through the computer. why do you think no-one has put a falcon turbo motor in anything else??? i agree that ...

i vote boss conversion is it a 260 or 290? it would definately be one of a kind .... check out ford forums. www.fordforums.com.au for any tech info basic bolt ons will give you plenty of power zaust plenty of cold air and a tune and some under drives and oil pump gears should see you about 250 at ...

holden and ford also use a different rateing to measure power. alot like imperial to metric. i think its about 5-10 kw different at 300 kw. with holden using the system that reads under and ford that reads above. i would think with the 5.4 you would run into the similar engine management and ...
