there's a local guy in newy who those speedo boxes to make it all work right. but i deleted his name and number when i got rid of the zook, lol. if you ring around a few speedo type places and ask if they can build or know anyone who builds that kinda box then i'm sure u'll find him pretty easily...

this was built for my 88/89 WT sierra, just wondering if there was much difference in the internal dimensions of the sierra's over the years? i ...

any time you go higher you lift ur center of gravity, so you want to stay as low as you can for stability. if a 1" kit will clear ur rubber then why go a 2" unless you need it for tuck?

work out what mods ur gonna do, if ur suspension work will mean the rubber clears then don't do the bodylift. on ...

Well when the engine is warm the choke flap should be totally open. To be sure that it is carby related take the hat off the carb when the engine is warm and manually close the choke flap slowly at the revs the engine is stumbling at. If the revs pick up when the choke flap is slightly close it ...

Try bleeding out the air lock in the top water hose on the carby, the auto choke plays up if its not bled out. Had this same problem in my sons carby.

I agree, sounds auto choke related.

The linkages and bits on the side that are a function of choke can seize up.

Have you replaced the fuel pump?? How old is it? Do you have a filter inbetween the pump and the carb? What rebuild kit did you use on it, cause a few kits are very rough and the black fibreous gasket they supply for the top of the jet/emulsion tube start to deteroiate straight away blocking the ...

Did u clean the fuel tank out as well or the filters as they may have been crap in there and gone through to the jets again since the rebuild?

so almost 2yrs ago i rolled my zook, and it's been sitting under a tarp for a lot of that time, getting started occasionally. it's finally got to the stage where it can drive it on the road, but i'm having dramas...

first off, the engine would lose power and eventually stall while driving along the ...

it's possible, but not easy... gonna be a hell of a lot of work, but do-able if you're good with a grinder and welder. if ur set on a s/top and aren't that handy, then either wait for for one to come up, or pay someone to do it

i'm still up for the fastback option maria... just gotta get my zook back, it's still being worked on...

Has anyone turbo'd a zook 1lt is it worth it? I was thinking of getting a turbo from a daihatsu charade and all the intake accessories and adapting them to fit the zook 1lt. What do you guys think about this idea?

I recently bought a 97 zook and it has had a light roll, what i was wondering is, does anyone know how much a roof skin is, and is the roof worth saving, or binning?

sounds alright, have a search, there's heaps of threads with body lift tech... check out the bible at the top of the zook forum too.

you'll have to either space the steering (easily done at the rag joint) or loosen it and let the shaft slip to suit the bodylift. most likely you'll have to hammer ...

went to bleed the brakes this morning, discovered fluid pouring out of a hole/crack in the metal brake line running just under the drivers seat...

what's the best thing to do? can i clamp it somehow, or do i need to replace the whole line, or .... ??

All the ones I've found need that flimsy factory roll bar to loop the straps around..
