I would check your, fuel filter, also there is a small fine mess filter on the fuel pump. for your pump you will not even be using you lift pump. if you really want to be able to reduce your idel, you will have to take you fuel pump off and have a aneroide installed onto it. beacause your fuel pump ...

Well i finally have found the answer to all my problems!

Pulled the pistons out today and number 3 piston has broken a ring grove off which hold the oil ring. Any damage to the bore?

Nar no damage, but was very very lucky as the whole ring grove had snapped off but it had still held together on ...

Yeh, mate i do have a catch can now, i have also tryed disconnecting everything and running to atmosphere.

There are two things it could be, both are VERY annoying since both were New when i built the engine. and also Both require at least the head to come off.

Hey mate the TD42 and the TD42T head gaskets are DIFFERENT!!!!!!!!!!!! the TD42T has larger cam followers and therefore has the larger cut out in the head gasket.

Ok here are the latest pics of the engine layout and with the head put back together.
For those that dont know i put new pre-combustion chambers in, the TD42T ones which are bigger than the td42 ones so can put more fuel in :)
