Clerance at the rear is no problem as it is getting a new tray made at the moment and will be designed to suit which ever tyre size i go, front is on the tight side but when cross over high steer is installed i will push the diff foward a couple of inch's and extend bump stop's if needed. 1991 v6 hilux and tyre size ???

I have just recently purched a 1991 hilux dual cab, it is running a vp commodore v6. It is due for new tyres now and i am waying up to go 35 inch or 33. the diffs gears are 4.88 as it had the 22r petrol motor in it orignaly. At the moment it runs 31's And is reving over 3000 just to sit at 100km ...

i allso think go the 20v 4age put a set of 4agze rods and pistons and something like a t28 turbo off a s15 silvia on it, but then you will have to go ecu but for the extra money the gain in power will out way it.

well yer if you were doing the rear diff then that would come up at the next weakest point along with the t50 if u give it a hard time. what rear diff were you thinking of converting to, becasue if you were to go to a hilux or alike they are a far bit wider than a nt sierra which would still be the ...

Go for it mate if thats what you wont :P i would be leaving the transfer case in it tho. you wont be saving much weight and it wouldent suck much power out through drive train loss and then u still have 4wd. dont worrie about the v6's you will be killing the 8's :cool:
