Does anyone know what lines do what in the charcoal canister, I wanted to remove it to fit some stuff in its place under the bonnet. So i just wanted to check and see which lines I might need to join as a bypass of the canister or which lines can simply be blocked off or whatever.?.?

And also, how strong are these engines? Would they handle much more than 20 psi of boost? Cos i know the 1HZ's have a weak bottom end, as they only have two bolt mains. Do the 1hdfte's have 4 bolt mains?

So, in theory, chipping it would allow more fuel, therefore allow the engine to still produce power with higher boost pressures?

The 1HD-FTE, while i know is very expensive to buy, is lookin like the easiest candidate for the swap, but my other alternative would have to be an LS2 6.0L, the engines are cheaper but there would be more cost getting it fitted ...

Just a quick question, Is the 1HDT direct injection, or are the 1HDFTE's the only ones with direct injection? Cos the 1HDT looks pretty much like a 1HZ with a factory turbo kit bolted on..

Definitely Your injection pump, hook up a piro meter and tune the pump so its getting the right amount of fuel, do the timing, and do your injectors, she'll be sweet
