No problems to a manual.
Should be ok if its an auto Baleno one as the Balenos will be 4 speed. Probably best to try and find a wiring diagram.

Jimny Snorkel who makes them?

I am looking for a snorkel for my Jimny and was told Safari do not do them for a Jimny. Is this correct?
I know TJM do one but, are there any others?

I agree, if you can afford it go Optima. Heard a story the other day of one 14 years old and still going strong. Mate has had one for 10 years and still fine. We have one we use for jump starting and its been good for 4 years and it gets neglected.

I know I sound like a stuck record but go 16V injected. Its well worth it and you wont be disapointed.
We move vehicles around all day here and when you get in the carb ones they cough and splutter then you need choke, more choke, less choke, and they stall all the time!

Here's a bit of an update.

Had alot of trouble trying to fit the body around the engine without cutting it. The steering shaft and brake booster were hitting the engine and the body was sitting about 200mm too far back which made it not line up in the wheel arches.
So we cut the fire wall out and ...

Buying a Suzuki in Tasmania?

Hi there,
I have just purchased a Jimny in Tasmania and plan on driving it around Australia, slowly. Does anyone know how you can get around not having a garage address or a residential address in Tasmania without registering it in another state?

Hey Turoa,
So to fit a 1UZ to the auto you use the Prado auto and change the imput shaft, oil pump and bellhousing from the standard Lexus auto?
And just use the flexplate and torque converter that comes with most import engines?
What did you use for engine mounts?
Any other problems in doing the ...

Are there any Toyota engine/bellhousing configurations that will adapt to ...
