There is a oil switch and a oil pressure gauge on the engine, you might have them around the wrong way. The engine will cut out in 5 if no oil pressure. are you using the sender from your motor as later on the pressure sender and switch might have been in the one unit. hopes this helps Very close ...

2h oil gauge wacko and engine cuts out
Howdy fairly new to forums so here goes.. Just replaced old 2h in HJ75 with 2nd hand goer out of HJ60 the problem is oil pressure gauge goes to max pressure on start up starts to fall just before engine cuts out 5-10 seconds. Its got plenty of oil, sounds and runs well with control rod disconnected ...
