Hi,
I have a 2003 V6 Hilux. There is an OBDII connector under the dash. I have been contemplating getting a Scanner to mount on the steering column rather than installing several guages. There is a bit of debate as to if the scanguage will wok on this model. Has anybody out there tried it with any ...

Prado 3.4 into 4runner???
Hi,
Has anybody ever tried ( or can it be done ) putting a prado 3.4 motor into where the 3.0 4runner motor is? If it can be done it looks like a good option for a bit of a power up over going to all the effort of putting a commodore v6 into it or similar.
Thanks,
BT

I put a 4Y in my 84 4runner. Mine is on LPG. I put the electronic ignition from a tarago with extractors and a good exhaust on it. I think is flies compared to the old 3Y and the 1.3 zook I used to have. Very economical on the lpg and I can actually outpull my mates GQ with the petrol motor in it ...

In mine the 'computer' is a blue box that hides behind the kick panel in the passenger side footwell. When mine was acting up it only affected it while crusing not under power. I know it gets an input from a pressure sensor that is on the passenger side innerguard and connecter to the carby with a ...

My fuel cut solenoid was giving me grief so I disconnected the 'computer' from it and earther it out. Turnes the solenoid on all the time and cured the problem. +12v is supplied to one side of the solenoid and the other is earthed out by the computer to turn it on.

3Y Alternator
Hi,
I have an 84 4 runner with the original 3Y in it. The alternator/regulator has failed and was wondering if there was an alternatative with an internal reg that will bolt on. I did a search but couldn't see anything applicable.
Thanks,
BT
