twin case
get a auto early patrol transfer and add it on the bk of ur std 1 then u can put gears in if u really need to ,if u want to stay left hand drive on the transfer the patrol 1 will runn upside down .

with a slide hammer it will try to pull on a angle,and it wont come out at all !use the cv as doiong this it will pull it out straight then the cir clip will let go and all will be good .if u persist with the slide hammer u risk the chane of damage to uur diff centre.same as a front wheel drive .if ...

i also have a gen 1 swb (a ute) it is a 2.6 it is a built motor with a webber and cam and it does fine with std gearing and 33"simex mudboggers altho old they are sweet

hi
when ur looking at a trruck see if it had a v6....either by the monuts or the bellhousing or the comp plate on the fire wall...easyiest way to tell if it v6 it the bigger diff.

ok ..update,i only just got my manifold back from the welders,in the mean time i got bored and slaped 1 32/36 webber on a spare mani and it hauls.it has std jets (what ever a cortina has). hope to have it running with the twin soon.

na i havent got that far yet im picking up my manifold today,so hopefully ill be up to the jets tonight.i havent tried a single on a astron yet but have had them on heaps of other motors.im guessing it shold be somewhere between a single 32/36 and twin 40s.well see tomorrow or later tonight.

with my mods i will have 73.06:1 first in low, low how slow will this be? my first case is 2.074:1 and my second 1 is 1.944:1 and my diff is 4.625:1

hey ,ive found that my diff has to go back 150 mm to help uni angles,i found springs at the wreckers with the centre bk that far.ill have to trim my wheel arch but at least my departure angle will be sweet!! as soon as i got the 2nd case in (hope tomorrow) and get my shaft bk ill do the front im ...

hey all,im about to put two of these 32/36 on my 2.6,im making a custom plenium that welds to the std manifold.i had thought of using a rotary 4 barrel as they ar eexcelent carbs but could not find 1.cheers ill get pics sn.

after more looking ive found that it will work if i get a custom shaft made with twin double cardinal joints and rotate my rear diff up and prob move bk slightly it should work.the front shaft wont be a prob due to a hilux conversion.

hey do u think it possible to mount a auto nissan patrol transfer case behind the mitsi 1 and still get a drive shaft in the rear?its a shortie...it should give a wicked ratio in low ,low ?i only ask as i have 1 here and i can weld
