NJ exceed front diff

Hello, looked through the technical data, but it is all so confusing. I need a replacement front diff for my 3.5Litre NJ. What models can I get one out of?

There is one I found out of a 3.5L NH, will that be the same? Does anyone have a spare lying around in Brisbane I can buy?

re-assembling an EL alternator

Hello,

Pulled apart my EL alternator to check the brushes - cant get it back together again. Every electrical motor thing I have played with before has a brush box removable/replaceable from the outside ... this doesn't seem too.

I was wondering if any of you smart electrical peoples can lead me ...

Does the computer advance the timing enough at higher revs to produce enough power?

would the worn key cause the valve timing to retard as well as spark timing?

just curious why did it only affect the car at low revs?

was it rattling around on the key at idle but under load or revs the key pushed evenly on the pulley/balanced giving an even reading on the crank sensor? wouldnt it evenly push under load going up a range? Where abouts is the crank position ...

Can the crank angle sensor intermittantly fail?

I have the same issues after washing my engine bay or going through deep water (or shallow water a little fast). Although it is usually combined with bad missing & big loss of power.

My mechanic said though that if it was the crank sensor it would ...

Modifying Dizzy

So .. I need a dizzy (I have multi-point efi 1.6L) .. went to suzisport found out the one i need (4 pin plug in side of dizzy) is very rare and very expensive. Does anyone know if there is a way to modify the wiring to suit the common type of dizzy or am I dreaming?

Cheers Teza

Yes looking on the net everything is availiable for the 6g72 engine, billet cams, forged rods and pistons, CPUS, etc but your going to pay through your ass for them. And it wont be all that much better normally aspirated.

Boring the engine isn't really a performance thing just re-new your bore ...

Correct me if this is not the case here as i know nothing about the 4d56 head, but most heads have the cam tunnel caps tensioned in the factory then tunnel bored.

OK cheers ill see if it fits back in ... it was floating around in the housing so maybe its buckled but if it stays back in obviously it would be preferable. I was just assuming it was pressed onto the tailshaft .. dont know why.

Had a few looks and finally found that the dust gaurd on the tailshaft - gaurding the rear seal of t/case was loose off the shaft and rattling around. I pulled ...
