as a mechanic i would say they are an easy belt to do but if you havent done a timing belt before i wouldnt tackle the job without a workshop manual as there are several timing marks to line up and you can get it wrong which will result in bent valves

these engines are not prone to leaking oil but as a holden mechanic i can tell you that there a special tool to remove and replace the rear main seal on this engine and without using it it would be near impossible to fit it without damaging it i have seen first hand what damage can be done without ...
