Hi There, Had my NH 3.0l V6 rebuilt, now using 6g75 pistons, stroked the crank as well, now a 3.8l. So yes it is possible. Have to use an aftermarket piggyback CPU though. Dyno tune gave me 140kw, 260Nm @ 4000, ( very flat curve 254 @ 3000 and 240 @ 2000) but the engine is still very tight. Should ...

Hi All,

We finished rebuilding the stoker engine, sent it in for a dyno tune. Got the following: Max power 94.6Kw and max toque 177.8Nm. This is actual measured on the back wheels, no correction factors, running on 31inch tyres . Anyone got similar results?

Cheers,

Kevin.

Hi Matt,

So you reset the camber to negative..how much? I have read that setting the castor to about 3deg (increasing it) also helps.

Thanks,

Kevin.

Gen 2 Road Handling

Hi all, Hope you can help me on this one. I have an NH V6 LWB. When I got her she handled like a boat. Replaced the shocks with new adjustable OEM. Handling improved, but not much. Just replaced all the front ball joints, all the rear rubber bearings, did wheel alignment. She still handles like a ...

Had a similar problem. First try was the stepper motor, also called idle solenoid, on the bottom of the throttle body next to the hot water "choke". Ended up being the ECU.

OK, been looking at doing the motor rebuild for a long time. Found a mechanic who races Pajeros, he called in his tuner and they have come up with this spec: Re-bore block, new crank, new pistons and conrods to give 3.8l. Heads and block skimmed to give 10.5:1 compression. Reprofiled cams, custom ...

The old motor was the 109kw 3.0l V6, after the mods I am doing now I should have a 3.8l V6 giving 160kw and 330Nm, possibly more. So with the 5.29 diff......

Thanks for the replies guys, I have had a suspicion that the diff ratios were not standard since I got the Pajero 'bout 3 yrs ago. When I got it it had OE tyres on, ie 29". We were driving in convoy once and the following vehicle complained that I was driving very slowly - we had agreed to drive at ...

Speedo accuracy

Hope someone can help me on this: How accurate is the Pajero speedo? ( NH 3.0l V6) 1. I have 31" tyres on. 2. At 120km/h on the speedo I am doing 109Km/h on the GPS. (should be other way around) 3. Does that mean I have 5.29 diffs in? (possible, vehicle was rebuilt by others) 4. How can I identify 5 ...

3.0l performance mods

Hi All, A while ago I posted a similar thread to see what I could do to the old 3.0l motor. We have now started to do the following: Stroker Kit - increase to 3.8l New headers and complete free flow exhaust 65mm Throttle body. Re-profiled cams (don't have details yet) New engine management system ...

Hi Scott, they say the stock cams are 182, lift 0.394. The RPW stage 1 cams are 258 with 0.360 lift. I already have a free flow exhaust with stock headers, K&N airfilter. If I increase the compression ratio (skim the head), will that not affect the clearence on the valves? and also increace top end ...

Hi Scott, thanks for the reply. I use the Paj for work. I build roads in Africa. Last job was in Botswana, lot of sand. Now in Zambia, lot of potholes. Do about 50/50 off road and long distance. Get average of 7l/100km. RPM advised a 267 cam (stage 1). The cost of rebuilding will be $5k. I don't ...

V6 3.0l Performance Mods

Hi All, I am new to this formum. I've had a NH 3.0l V6 for the last 3yrs, done about 260000km, due for an engine rebuild. Been looking for the best upgrade. Got hold of RPW, they recommend the following: Stage 1 cams, rebored throttle body and plenium, free flow exhaust, extractors and a piggyback ...
