the thick washer should be the bearing backing washer, stops the bearing cone turning against the locking nut. You should already have that washer inside your assembly. ahhh.. thought it looked familiar! thanks dude. so the thick washer would sit against the bearing, then the locking nut goes on ...

Yer you sure can use them, but if it has burrs from being used on old steel rope it needs to be repaired to smooth before you use it Just what I wanted to hear! I have a couple of brand new unused snatch blocks and was looking at buying a winch with rope, but didn't want to buy a winch with rope ...

Silly winch rope question

Might seem like a silly question but I did some searching and couldn't find anything...

Normally snatch blocks are used for wire winches, can you use a snatch block on a synthetic rope winch? It will feed through, but will it damage the rope at all?

Cheers

I agree with the cracking all the nuts and bolts before jacking the car up ONLY if you are going to lift it high enough to take the front wheels off the ground. I only used stands to take some of the body weight away from the front diff so I could move it around if need be, but the wheels were still ...

Slunnie, how do you find the BOC and Unimigs? I looked at the procraft 210 and 240 but have heard they sometimes have overheating issues. They'll both be really good welders for home use, buggies, rollbars, bullbars etc and the welds they put down are fine. The machines are just a bit light on and ...
